"I asked the office about filing a renters insurance claim and explained the situation in detail. They encouraged me to file it even though it was just for hotel accommodations. I explained we were not claiming any structural damage etc because again we were renting and it was owners responsibility- and they had just done a full inspection before the kitchen sink pipe leaked (but this leak wasn't visible initially and left zero water on anything). It appears the leak began BEHIND the wall so of course it was missed. They denied the hotel stay during remediation etc because mold is excluded but so are certain types of leaks. Unless a pipe explodes apparently everything else is excluded. Thats almost fine despite the unreasonable logic. The problem is this claim was denied but now I'm told MY rates will go up. I am being told this would not be just renters insurance but homeowners insurance. What they're using to do this: The information from the Homeowner, the work THEY had done for THEIR structural failure that they didn't even file a claim with (they paid out of pocket I found out later). Its clear to see why. I am being punished for likely 7 years for a denied claim likely worth $1000 or less. State Farm will net tens of thousands in fees if they target homeowners. Remember this is the same company featured in the news for harming the CA wildfire victims who are now suing. There was a time in the early 1900s no one put up with this sordid morally bankrupt behavior that's now simply called "just business" with banks and insurance companies. Research the midwest farmers, particularly in Michigan, who bid down auction prices to buy back farms and return them to their neighbors. Nooses were even set up as a stark visual warning to anyone thinking of bidding high. We've lost that integrity because banks and insurance companies have sanitized these practices to make them appear good or even moral. Folks, have we lost all perspective and discernment here. Its all about corp profits, sales targets, that new Range Rover, private education and more, more, more stuff, things, and awards, attaboys and internal competition - at what expense? Integrity, morality, and perhaps their hearts and souls (but it APPEARS acceptable). No Louisiana resident has to take this sanitized abuse that is literally being sold - you have options. They act like your buddies...until you file a claim. I encourage everyone to stand against bad practices and frankly WITH the CA wildfire victims and hurricane victims to find better alternatives. This is one way to show your support for them. If every office loses 100 people that would make an impact. I'll start a Change.org petition to assist. I'm thinking about making it a competition with targets. If they'll screw you over perpetually for just $500 or $1000 on a denied claim, even using info from others to hammer you, what do think they'll do with a 10K, 50K, or 100K claim? At what lengths will they go to obtain information on you which could be slanted in any way they wish? Think they're not using data mining, AI etc no matter how accurate or inaccurate the info is? To our state reps, AG, DAs and private attorneys...the answer is yes, I'm interested in helping with investigations or anything else I can do to serve or help."

"Mrs. Hannah did a Really Really Great job at following up with me & serving me a wonderful policy that I am really happy to have because I am saving money! I always did like Statefarm. After shopping around, I told her I decided I didn’t want the policy because my current holder had found me something cheaper. I briefly explained the new offered policy to Mrs. Hannah, she accepted it and a few hours later she’d texted me & informed me that I would be paying more for the current offered on the other company via the down payment although the monthly charge was $10 cheaper than Statefarm for the 6 months. Plus State Farm is policies age going down by the Month!! So I thought about it, called her back & she patiently explained it to me, & that’s what made me get on with state Farm. (My policy even went down a few bucks in the time I’d first given her my vehicle info to the day I paid the policy. No down payment, unlike other policies)!! "Emma made this experience so quick and easy for me. I made the decision to switch to State Farm & was able to go in the very next day. Emily explained things in terms that were easy to understand. She offered two other insurance policies to add, (renters and life) explained the benefits, but did not push me to add them on right then and there. She sent me home with information on the two additional policies and gave me time to decide without pressure. Justin came in and introduced himself while I was in the office. He was friendly and welcoming. They offered me State Farm merch on my way out! Editing to add: Today I had my auto insurance policy rewritten by Brandon over the phone.
